The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah signs a memorandum of understanding with Wadi Taiba to enhance technology in serving the pilgrims

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah signed a memorandum of understanding with Wadi Taibah Company Limited, affiliated to Taibah University, which specializes in research, development and innovation in emerging technologies, in order to enhance joint cooperation in several fields.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah was represented in the signature by the Assistant Undersecretary for Hajj and Umrah Services, Dr. Muhammad bin Ali Batouq, while the CEO of Wadi Taibah Company was represented by Dr. Jaber bin Faraj Al-Mutairi.

The memorandum aims to activate the role of the strategic partnership and invest capabilities and expertise within a general framework of joint business, activities and tasks in areas related to pilgrims and Umrah performers, and implement research, development and innovation initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of emerging technologies in the Hajj and Umrah sector and making the most of their capabilities in serving pilgrims and Umrah performers.

The memorandum identified areas of cooperation in studies and technical and developmental activities in the field of innovation, entrepreneurship and the employment of artificial intelligence through coordination and integration between the two parties in the exchange of data, studies, information and experiences in a way that enhances the facilitation and acceleration of technology adoption in the Hajj and Umrah sector, while adhering to private intellectual and literary property rights.
