What is the Internet of People?

(Internet of people)

Over the past years, in light of the tremendous acceleration in the development of the Internet, starting from its use in searches and sending emails, all the way to today’s technology, which has made the Internet a comprehensive concept for many aspects of our lives, the concept of the Internet has developed significantly from what it was in the past and has become more connected. With people and things, the Internet is still witnessing rapid and tremendous growth, as the increase in technologies associated with it has led to an increase in the level of Internet use per person in society and the possibility of communicating things around him, and it now covers many aspects of an individual’s life.

With this remarkable development, social media has become one of the most influential applications on the individual and society, as access to society and forming relationships with people in the virtual and real world has become easier and easier. It has also given everyone the opportunity to create and publish content on the Internet, in addition to the possibility of interacting with others. In real time, this activity resulted in the concept of the Internet of People, which is a decentralized and open source technology, where humans act not only as end users of Internet applications, but as active elements in the Internet community. This technology has contributed to building networks of social relationships that stimulate interactive communication. Among them through digital devices connected to the Internet and sharing data, I was able to inspire users to present their lives and share more information, specifically personal information, thus reaching a new level of data, which contributes to understanding and translating human feeling, which is considered one of the main elements that organizations lack. When data is studied and analyzed to reach real results, it can be used to make predictions about something.

The Internet of People includes a wide range of different applications and services that use technology to meet individuals’ personal needs, such as social networking, digital health, distance education, e-commerce, smart cities, and many other applications. Achieving the Internet of People requires focusing on protecting privacy and cybersecurity, ensuring the necessary legislation to protect the rights of users and regulating the use of personal data. As the Internet of People continues to develop in the future, this will require continuous updating of technology and a focus on meeting the needs of individuals and improving the quality of life in communities. The most prominent areas are:

Smart cities:

Continuous technical developments have made society more urgent than ever and more aspiration for more effective and safer services that can be used to improve the quality of life. In addition to the technologies used to provide society’s requirements and make cities smart, applying the concept of the Internet of People contributes to making them smarter, due to For its contribution to providing real-time information, which can be collected, analyzed and relied upon to feed smart city applications such as:

Smart public transportation applications: Travelers can use smart public transportation applications to schedule trains, buses, and metro, check the expected times of public transportation arriving at their stations, and updates on the actual status of transportation.
Smart traffic analytics: The Internet of People contributes to providing the necessary information for  smart traffic analysis to identify congested points, analyze traffic data, identify the main causes of traffic congestion, and improve traffic management in cities, through the use of smart traffic analysis systems, determine the busiest times, and provide data about travel routes. most effective.
Smart navigation systems: The Internet can help people develop smart navigation systems to determine optimal routes for trips, avoid traffic congestion, and save time and fuel, through GPS systems connected to the Internet.
Providing access for people with special needs: Smart technology can be used to provide easy and comfortable access for people with special needs, by providing smart buses, trains, and taxis equipped with facilities and services that make it easier for people with special needs to access public and private services.
Individual transportation services: Smart individual transportation applications can be used to book services for luxury cars, taxis, motorcycles, bicycles, and electric scooters, through smart reservation applications that allow booking services, monitoring the status of cars, and determining the trip route.

These applications summarize how the Internet of People can be used to improve the quality of life in cities and provide more diverse and effective services. And how the Internet of People can play a vital role in improving and providing more efficient, sustainable and safe transportation to users.

health care:

Cognitive smart technologies are employed in order to improve the quality of life for patients and doctors. This concept includes applications and technologies that can be considered examples of how the Internet of People can be applied in the health field:

Digital health: includes applications that help monitor health and fitness, such as sports applications, fitness tracker applications, and nutritional applications that help track diet and count calories.
Telehealth: Technology can be used to provide health care remotely, making it more personal and tailored to patients’ needs. Patients can contact their doctors and get consultations, diagnosis and treatment online, through health applications and customized software.
Smart medication management: Technology can be used to help remind patients to take medications at the right time, update medication schedules and calculate appropriate doses.
Health data analytics: Data analytics and AI can be used to predict diseases and health risks and improve diagnosis and treatment.
Virtual reality therapy: Virtual reality technologies can be used to improve health treatment and rehabilitation, as patients can interact with virtual environments that help them face health concerns and challenges and improve treatment outcomes.
Genomic medicine: Genome analysis and genomic medicine techniques can be used to improve health diagnosis and treatment, enabling patients to better understand their diseases and make the right treatment decisions.

These are some examples of how the Internet of People can be applied in the health field, and there are many other applications and technologies that are being used in the health field to improve healthcare and meet the needs of patients and professionals in this field.
